We Have Planted 1000 Fruit Trees in Boscombe!

500 Fruit trees is an ecological project with a focused objective: To plant 500 Fruit trees in the Boscombe area to create an interesting, colourful neighbourhood, with beautiful tasty fruit for the people of Boscombe.

This Project has now been completed with the successful planting of 1000 trees in the Boscombe area!


This is an out line of the project we undertook ...  please note the project has now been completed!


A project is underway to give away 500 fruit trees to be planted in Boscombe!


We need people to come forward with suggestions of places to plant the trees. Plots should be accessible to the public, but may be on private land or public land, for example schools, verges, parks, residential homes and communal gardens. Planting is planned between now and February.


Enquiries are welcome from land owners, local residents or local organisations.
The funding for the trees has been provided through the Boscombe and Springbourne Healthy Living Project

Trees available are varieties of Cherry, Plum, Damson, Greengage, Apple, Apricot, Nectarine, Almond, Fig, Pear, Grapes, Blueberries, Loganberries, Tayberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Gooseberries, Red, White and Blackcurrants...

Boscombe and Springbourne Healthy Living Project was set up to tackle the health inequalities in the Boscombe and Springbourne area. It has received funding from the Big Lottery and is managed by Bournemouth and Poole Teaching Primary Care Trust.
