This Project has now been completed with the successful planting of 1000 trees in the Boscombe area!
A project is underway to give away 500 fruit trees to be planted in Boscombe! We need people to come forward with suggestions of places to plant the trees. Plots should be accessible to the public, but may be on private land or public land, for example schools, verges, parks, residential homes and communal gardens. Planting is planned between now and February.
Enquiries are welcome from land owners, local residents or local organisations. The funding for the trees has been provided through the Boscombe and Springbourne Healthy Living Project Watch our progress on www.500-fruit-trees.org.uk
Trees available are varieties of Cherry, Plum, Damson, Greengage, Apple, Apricot, Nectarine, Almond, Fig, Pear, Grapes, Blueberries, Loganberries, Tayberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Gooseberries, Red, White and Blackcurrants...
