Since opening on July 1st 2009, Boscombe and Springbourne Health Centre has been hugely successful, welcoming over 6300 patients through its doors. The cold month of December saw an especially high volume of patients, with over double that of the first month of opening. The recent turn in winter weather has seen people take full advantage of the health centre’s impressive facilities. Patients have full access to their free walk-in and pre-booked GP services between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week, every single day of the year. Practice Manager Chris Hughes is delighted that the health centre has been such a success with both local people and visitors alike, “We have had such high numbers of people through our doors, especially on Boxing Day and New Years Eve as a lot of other GPs were closed on these days. This factor alone emphasises the need for our service which is open every single day of the year and has contributed toward Boscombe and Springbourne Health Centre becoming firmly cemented in the heart of the community.” The health centre has many treatment and consulting rooms that are available to lease out over the weekends.
