Coastal Protection
Description

While the main purpose is a leisure amenity, research suggests than a potential added benefit is that the reef may decrease the rate of coastal erosion by dissipating wave energy before it has a chance to hit the beach. Other artificial reefs built have provided good protection on the beaches.
