Extreme Art @ King's Park School

Extreme Art @ King's Park School
The art at The Extreme Art exhibition held at King's Park School was done by the children attending the school. The age of the children was 7 years and upwards. The art displayed was 'child led' within the art lesson.
The teachers, Lynn and Jackie, allow the children to explore their own creative ability when the children are doing their work. All art is done from what the child is feeling and the materials the child wants to use.
The children decide what they want to design and the teachers just follow their lead.
The whole exhibition was lead by the children and the lay out of the art was all the children's idea. During the exhibition the children were the 'tour guides' for the exhibition and they explained what each piece of art was showing and who the artist was. The exhibition was enjoyable and it was good to see what the children can actually do when they are allowed to put their minds to it.
