FJB Hotel Group is celebrating the launch of its stylish new bar and brasserie at The Chine Hotel, located in Boscombe, set in three acres of mature gardens and with views of Boscombe Pier. ‘The Gallery’ is set to become a feature on the local society circuit with its spectacular views, bespoke furnishings, artwork and impressive fixtures, combined with a superbly atmospheric bar offering innovative cuisine plus a wonderfully varied selection of drinks from cocktails to specialty coffees. Continuing The Group’s usual high quality of décor and interior furnishings, the bar follows a theatrical theme reflecting a nostalgic link with the hotel's heritage, when it was visited by such famous actors as Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Norman Wisdom, Noel Coward, Max Bygraves, Jimmy Edwards, Harry Secombe, Peter Sellers, Frankie Howard and many others. John Butterworth, Managing Director of the FJB Hotel Group says, “The opening of The Gallery marks the completion of an extensive refurbishment programme of work to relaunch the Chine and to introduce the hotel to an entirely new clientele. The bar blends the hotel’s theatrical heritage with a stylish and contemporary feel. The result? A truly unique venue for the area.” He added “ Highly rated by the AA and the last major hotel in Boscombe, the Chine Hotel has for too long been ‘a best kept secret’. We are constantly investing in all the hotels within the Group to ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional quality and service as well as style and originality.” Open between 10.00am-11.00pm each day, The Gallery offers a stunning venue for locals and visitors alike, with something for everyone from a mid-morning coffee, light bites, lunches, afternoon teas, cocktail hour drinks, dinners to meetings (WiFi access available). The Gallery will be officially launched at an 'invitation-only' event on Thursday 12th February 2009 by the worshipful the Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor Stephen Chappell, MA (Oxon). |
