High Street

Boscombe high street is a thriving and diverse shopping centre where you can find a range of both independent shops and well known chainstores. The central area is pedestrianised and easily accessible, supported by the Shop-Mobility scheme. There are two contrasting arcades in Boscombe high street - the Sovereign Centre, a large modern shopping centre with many well known stores, and the victorian Royal Arcade, a beautifully restored building, home to many independent businesses and coffee shops. Boscombe high street really comes to life on a Thursday and Saturday when the pedestrian area plays host to Boscombe Market, where shoppers can find all their essentials plus lots more. In Boscombe, shopping doesn't stop in the precinct - more specialist shops stretch all the way from Pokesdown down to Boscombe Gardens including Roumelia Lane, an interesting mix of alternative businesses with an air of the Brighton Lanes!
