On Sunday 22nd June 2008 3500 people ran past me down on the seafront at Boscombe Pier..... they all had 2 things in common... 1. they were all women and 2. they were all running the 5km Cancer Research Race for Life! In 2007 Cancer Research UK brought together 665,000 women to walk, jog or run 5k to raise £40 million pounds, I guess we’ll know this year’s total in a few weeks!
So well done to all the ladies that took part in raising money for Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research, see you there next year! |
