works to implement the second phase of the 20 MPH zone are due to
commence on Monday 20 April. Phase 2 extends the 20 MPH zone constructed last summer and consulted
on in April and July 2008. The 20 MPH zone is being extended to Walpole Road, Carysfort Road, Campbell
Road, Hamilton Road, Borthwick Road, Churchill Road, Tower Road and Palmerston Road (part).

phase of the 20 zone has shown a reduction in both vehicle speeds and road accidents. |
