Wanted: 200 people who would benefit from Lifestyle mentoring
Another project funded by Big Lottery Wellbeing Fund, this time offering Personal Lifestyle Mentoring for people wanting to make a lifestyle change for improved health and wellbeing. The project offer up to 6 sessions with a qualified lifestyle mentor for £15. The normal cost for 6 sessions would be £150–£200. To programme is aimed at the following beneficiaries:
· Individuals with low level mental ill health for whom lifestyle changes and self esteem support/stress management and confidence building would provide a quick response solution and prevent deterioration to serious mental ill health.
· Individuals approaching older age (45yr +) and for whom a lifestyle change and the development of social networks would benefit.
· those who have been newly diagnosed with a health condition and whose quality of life would improve, or be positively maintained.
· Those who are inactive or unfit and those who are isolated by way of age, race, gender, environment or through lack of social networks and skills.
· Those who live in deprived communities or may be socially or economically disadvantaged.
· Those who would not normally access mainstream health or social care services.

Wanted: Organisations/agencies who would like to offer their staff/clients a FREE online weight management programme.
We have been offered the opportunity to provide an online weight management programme, PeteCohen.tv. from the New Year for a period of six months.
The programme normally costs £69, however as part of a Active Communities partnership programme we a looking to offer the programme to health, workplace and community settings to determine it’s long term potential and benefits. Pete Cohen is an acclaimed author and international presenter on behavioral change as well as regular appearances on GM.TV and other lifestyle programmes. His work has also been utilised by BUPA.
