1. Find where the bus goes and when…

Yellow Buses timetableYou can view relevant times at almost all bus stops, browse our website or call in at our travel office in the Square (opposite Boots). For independent advice on all public transport call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.

2. What kind of journey are you making?Transdev Yellow Buses ticket

Our buses sell adult and child single journey tickets as well as day tickets at £3.30 per adult or £2 per child, which allow you to use the whole Yellow Buses network all day. There is also a family group day ticket which allows 2 adults and up to 3 children to travel all day for £8.

If you travel regularly, you can purchase a Yellow Card, which is the best value way to travePaypoint logol. These are available in 7, 30, and 90-day and 10 Trip adult and child varieties – the longer the ticket is valid for, the better value the card is. Yellow Cards are available from PayPoint outlets across the area (see www.bybus.co.uk for details of your closest site) or from the travel office in the Square (opposite Boots).

3. At the bus stop

Yellow Buses bus stopThe bus stop signs will tell you which routes stop and their final destinations. Alongside these signs are displays listing the times of every bus. As a bus approaches, look at the destination on the front. The bus will display the route number and destination – the last stop and usually a major stop on the way. Core routes are normally operated by easy access, low floor vehicles, making it easy to get on and off. To signal to the driver of the bus that you wish to get on, please clearly put out your hand.

4. Tell the driver where you would like to go to, ask for a day ticket or insert your yellow card into the machine next to the driver.Three pound yellow buses ticket

The driver will then give you a ticket, or the machine will ‘buzz’ and read your card. It helps our buses keep to time if you are able to use the right change. Please keep your ticket for inspection whilst on the bus.

5. Find a seat and relax…

RElax on the Yellow BusesYou can leave all the bother of driving to us and you’ll get a better view of the area than in your car. There will be no parking worries and you can use your phone, read or listen to music safely too.

6. When you want to get off, press the bell.

The ‘bus stopping’ sign will light up… but please stay seated until the bus completely stops. All of our stops have names and this timetable includes route maps with the main stops named and all stops shown.
